An AC Line Splitter instrument is a special accessory for clamp meters which can be used to measure current conveniently without destroying the insulation part of the equipment power lines.
- For measuring current in plug-in appliance and air conditioners
- Splits two conductor line cord for reading at outlets under load
- Permits volatge measurements at outlet under active conditions
- Direct and 10X Sensitivity

- Provides easy and safe measurements of current without the need to cut off the plug and separate the conductors
- Plugging the power connector into the line splitter separates the hot/live conductor from the neutral (and ground)
- Also features voltage check function
Product Description:
Safe and easy to use, the ELENCO ST-74 AC Line Separator cleanly 'opens' a standard 120V AC line cord in order to make current measurements with a clamp meter. Simply plug the line splitter into a grounded 120V AC wall outlet, plug in your equipment and turn it on, then measure.
- Voltage: 120V +/‐10%
- Current: 15 Amps max.

Two Clamp Positions
Out of the two test openings in the line splitter, one provides a one-to-one current reading while the other provides a times-ten (x10) reading so that small current will display with better resolution on a clamp meter.
Convenient Line Splitter
The ST-74 provides temporary separation of conductors for current measurement with clamp-type meters
Measures Current and Voltage
The line separator measure AC current up to 15 Amps and voltage up to 120V
Voltage Check Function
For voltage measurements, insert your multimeter's testleads into the line splitter's two Voltage Test jacks.
